Garth Brooks To Play Four Dates at Croke Park Next July!
This is the first time Brooks has played in Ireland for 17 years. The country superstar appeared in Dublin this morning for the special announcement at Croke Park.
Brooks last played in Croke Park in 1997, his last concert in Ireland.
He announced he would be returning to the same venue for the Irish leg of his tour ‘The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event’ in July.
Speaking earlier today, he said: “Before we go back on tour in the Fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band, and crew.
“In ’97, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction. 130,000+ of some of the greatest fans in the world. I was quoted then as saying ‘When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again…this time to the brink.’…and we’re back to do just that.”

One Direction Announce Third Croke Park Date
Chart-toppers One Direction have added a third date to their Where We Are Tour and will play GAA HQ on Friday 23 May 2014. The tickets will go on sale at 10am on Saturday (28th September) priced at €59.50 from www.ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets nationwide.
The heartthrob group have also announced extra shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and London’s Wembley Stadium which were announced along with a string of European stadium and arena gigs.
